Samsung Washing Machine Drain Pump Housing

Genuine Samsung washing machine drain pump housing (DC97-19376A).

This pump housing forms the main body of the drain pump assembly, holding the pump motor, filter and hose connections in place while directing waste water out of the machine during the drain cycle. If the housing becomes cracked, warped or worn, it can lead to leaks, poor drainage or repeated pump-related faults.

Common symptoms this part can fix

• Water leaking from underneath the washing machine during or after a cycle
• Machine not draining fully, leaving water in the drum
• Drain pump running but little or no water being expelled
• Visible cracks or damage around the pump filter housing
• Recurring blockages or filter not sealing correctly

Check this is the correct part

This housing is used across a range of Samsung washing machines, but there can be small variations in pump assemblies.

• Always confirm your exact model using the model checker
• Check the position of hose connections and mounting points
• If replacing alongside a pump motor, ensure both components are compatible

Note: Visually similar housings may have different outlet angles or fixing points.

Safety information

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before carrying out any repair.

• Turn off and isolate the electrical supply completely
• Shut off the water supply before removing hoses
• Drain any remaining water from the machine before starting work

Failure to follow these steps can result in electric shock, water damage or injury.

DIY installation overview

Replacing the pump housing typically requires access to the lower front or rear of the machine.

• Ensure the machine is fully isolated from power and water before starting
• Drain residual water via the filter or hose before removal
• Remove the existing pump assembly and transfer or refit the motor if required

Take care when disconnecting hoses, as trapped water will almost always be released during removal.
