How do I find my model number on my Dyson cordless Vacuum Cleaner?

Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners can be particularly confusing because the V number isn't always the full model number.

For example, V6, V7, V8, V10 and V11 identify a range, but there can be several different models within each range.

Using the V number alone doesn't always guarantee that you've selected the correct part.

Where can I find the model number?

Look for the label close to the battery.

The full model number normally begins with SV and will be shown alongside other information on the label.

For example, you may see both the V-range and a SV model reference.
